Who: Larrikin Love
Where: The Scala
When: Thursday 7th September

Why: Their live show is half the reason that Larrikin Love are currently gracing the cover or Loud And Quiet. †The other half is the bands sterling debut album that is release later this month.

All scally scrapping and dandy dancing, Larrikin will undoubtedly be showcasing a majority of their ‘Freedom Sparks’ record on Thursday and if witnessing one of the most intellectual bands of the year pulling it together onstage isn’t your thing, stay at home. For those who have any sense of style, passion or belief in new music, make a bee line for theScala. There, Edward will be charming the arse off the room and his band of urchins will be doing much of the same with their racing tunes of Dickensian proportion.

Take the best parts of Dexy’s, The Pogues and – whisper it – Babyshambles and you’re still nowhere near close.
