Who: The Lucksmiths
Where: Kilburn Luminaire
When: Wednesday 30th August

Why: Because Australia’s The Lucksmiths only come to England once every
blue moon and further more their ‘Warmer Corners’ album was our number 2
LP of 2005.

Warm toned indeed, The Lucksmiths play guitar pop for an endless summer.
Part The Smiths/part Belle And Sebastian, romantic sun dazed melodies are this bands game, proving that music with less angles than a circle
surrounding Genesis can still be as interesting as Bloc Party on a
particularly spiky day.

If you need any proof, check out ‘The Music Next Door’ from the ‘Warmers
Corner’ album. Or, better still, run to The Luminaire on Wednesday.
