London promoters Dance Magic Dance are heading to New York for a special Stateside party with Cerebral Ballzy.

Over here in the UK, they’ve hosted DIY shows in every London venue worth mentioning, but when over in the Big Apple on August 27th they’ll be at Cake Shop, charging eight bucks entry to see Cerebral Ballzy, Sisters, Slow Animal, Sweet Bulbs and Candy Hearts.

If you’re in New York, we strongly suggest going, for the bands and the promoters who know how to put on a show.

Here’s what they and other say about the lineup they’ve got in store…

Cerebral Ballzy

“A crew of young drunken lunatics carrying the torch of eighties skate punk to wreak havoc…” The New Yorker
“One of the best things currently happening in the city, rock and roll, music, and chaotic force.” Nick Gazin/ Vice

Sisters
http://www.myspace.com/sisterssound
“Guitar/vocal and drum two piece out of the Death by Audio music collective in Brooklyn. Sisters in rock pop collage with garage fallout. Noisy guitars with melody and screaching beautiful vocals over the hardest hitting drums.”

Slow Animal
http://www.myspace.com/slowanimal
A DMD summer crush – New Jersey’s Slow Animal play sweet fuzzed out garage pop classics that make you want to drink cider and run around outside in the sun all year round.

Sweet Bulbs

“Brooklyn’s Sweet Bulbs make pop music similar to… well, honestly, not much that I’ve ever heard, and that’s why the songs are so perfect. Maybe a little reminiscent of The Breeders if their guitars sounded more like lasers…” Dylan / Cloud Nothings

Candy Hearts

Candy Hearts could have jumped right out of our favorite teen flick, all highschool crush pop punk and hella cute.
