We’re sorry to say that this month’s issue is the last of the summer, but let’s enter the Back-To-School, autumn season kicking and screaming, and what says sunshine and cheap wine better than California’s Wavves?

Nathan Williams is our cover star this month, with his new band members, Billy and Stephen, promptly in tow, having recorded new album ‘King of The Beach’ as a three piece for the first time. It’s an outstanding grunge pop record, as our current issue attests with its 9/10 rating.

Other bands making the best of what’s left of these long days include Cerebral Ballzy, 2:54, The Vaselines, chill wave leader Toro Y Moi and new 2-step siblings Disclosure.

We also talk to the man behind Offset Festival about this year’s (and this month’s) event, and we still managed to make it to Norway and Germany to suss out Oya and Melt! festivals, respectively.

All this is in our issue that’s out August 21st 2010, plus…

GRINDERMAN / abe vigoda / EDWYN COLLINS / klaxons / THE COUNT & SINDEN / pacific! / NICK GARRIE / women / INTERPOL / freelance whales / CROCODILES / kano / BLACK MOUNTAIN / annuals / FRANK (JUST FRANK) / underworld / WILD NOTHING / radfest / BRONTIDE / el guincho / LOVEBOX / junip… and more!
