For years Spider Webb, Tom Furse and Coffin Joe of The Horrors have thrown freak-beat parties at their Cave Club, London, but none have been as special as ‘Ghouls Out’ looks set to be this Halloween.

It’s not so much the venue switch from The Buffalo Bar to The Macbeth that makes this event look so vital but rather the live tribute bands that will soundtrack the fiendish evening.

The Diddlers feature hosts Rhys ‘Spider’ Webb and Coffin Joe themselves, as well as Charlie of Electricity In Our Homes, Huw Webb (Rhy’s brother) of S.C.U.M, Phil Good and Little Miss Curwood. And that name makes sense once you realise that they’ll be performing a selection of songs dedicated to the late, great Bo Diddley.

Their support comes from another Horrors spin-off – the Josh Third-piloted Cramped!, through which the guitarist will channel… well… The Cramps, with the help of Emily of The Rotters.

And as if that wasn’t enough, the night also features a twisting competition, Horror projections and a live show of magical sounds from The Great God Hod, who’s none other than the old wizard himself, BARRY 7 (Add N To (x))) and his KORG DS-10.

Times: 9pm – 4am
Entry: £6
The Macbeth, 70 Hoxton Street, London N1
