If you’re a fan of UK festivals, you probably think that Secret Garden Party, Truck, End of The Road or even Green Man are the most homely of the weekend events that take place any given summer. Now though, east London club night Suburban Tarts have announced plans for a party that redefines the term ’boutique festival’.

‘Apple Tarts’ – named so because it’s to take place on Brogdale Apple Farm, Faversham, Kent – arrives on May 28th and is only open to 250 people.

It’ll be a rock’n’soul hoedown, with live sets from Sex Beet, scuzz rockers Swampmeat and Lazarus and The Plane Crash, plus sports day event, rock’n’roll karaoke (that’s when you front a band instead of a crackling backing track), Granny Smith tearooms, market stalls and bonfires.

Usually found at The Victory, Dalston, the organisers are even taking the pub with them and setting up a tavern on site. And there’s a free shuttle bus from Faversham train station to the site and back again the following day.

Tickets are £36 and are available HERE.
