This month’s issue of Loud And Quiet will be in stores from Saturday [April 16, 2011], featuring an exclusive cover feature interview with Chicago glam-pop trio Smith Westerns.

We met up with the band to discuss their second album, ‘Dye It Blonde’, which finally gets a UK release on May 2nd via new Domino-affiliated imprint Weird World. It is a shamelessly ambitious antidote to lo-fi garage, which is what the band were first tagged back in 2009.

Also for issue 28, we spent an evening with Dan Deacon and chatted with Big Deal, D/R/U/G/S, Tropics, Mafia Lights and No Joy.

Gold Panda quizzes Dam Mantle, Wet Paint guitarist Babak Ganjei talked up through his first graphic novel and Luke Winkie’s American Boy column laments the final death of LCD Soundsystem.

And in our review section you’ll find…

LET’S WRESTLE / wild beasts / COLD CAVE / patrick wolf / DELS / wet paint / PLEASE / girls names / TENNIS / times new viking / JAMIE WOON / love inks / CARLTON MELTON / gang gang dance / THE THERMALS / john maus / GO WILD OUTDOORS / the kills / THE HISTORY OF APPLE PIE / odd future… and more.

There’s loads more besides so pick up a copy from Saturday, or order it HERE.
