Cult movie maker David Lynch has been a hip name to drop for years. Hardly a band interview goes by without someone mentioning Twin Peaks or any number of Lynch’s weird films as key inspiration. And from November 7 2011 there’ll be even more reason to give the director a nod, as he releases his debut solo album, ‘Crazy Clown Time’.

It was Lynch who, with Sparklehorse and Danger Mouse, royally pissed off EMI with the whole ‘Dark Night Of The Soul’ debacle, but for ‘Crazy Clown Time’ (released via UK indie Sunday Best) he’s worked along, writing and producing the record’s 14 tracks, on which he sings and plays guitar.

The album will include ‘Good Day Today’ [below] and ‘I Know’, both of which were released last year.
