Having taken a month out to plan various L&Q projects (including the launch of Loud And Quiet Japan), issue 31 will be in stores in just four days (on 17 September 2011), and features more band interviews than any of our issues yet.

Our cover star this month is Ryan Adams, who’s gone solo and acoustic once again, this time for new album ‘Ashes & Fire’. He’s kept company by dance-punk veterans The Rapture, Danish hardcore troupe Iceage and the forever heartfelt Vivian Girls.

Also exclusively interviewed are London duo Summer Camp, Sweden’s I Break Horses, minimal pop quartet Woman’s Hour and Mexican ‘dark raver’ Ritualz. And we also managed to catch up with post-rock legends Mogwai in Helsinki, and the three brains behind new east London record store Kristina Records.

Plus reviews of shows and records by…

Prince Rama / Laura Marling / Givers / New Look / Still Corner / Teeth / Spank Rock / Lanterns on The Lake / Total Slacker / Walls / Zola Jesus / Wild Flag / Roots Manuva / Kai Fish / Apparat / Dum Dum Girls / Future Islands / Jeffrey Lewis / Remember Remember / Cat’s Eyes / Big Deal / Timber Timbre… and more.
