To bring you this month’s issue of Loud And Quiet we traveled. All the way to New York, we went, to find a London-based band feeling totally at home in one of the world’s most competitive cities.

Veronica Falls‘ eponymous debut album featured on our Records We Most Want to Hear list back in January of this year, and it has not disappointed, perhaps because the band recorded it twice. We didn’t realise that when we flew to meet them though, or just how at home they are in the city of New York.

While some of us were there, Brooklyn’s Friends were here in London, so we met with them too, and homegrown noise trio TEETH, for a whole day. They’re joined in issue 32 by Roots Manuva, soul duo The One, delicate Sub Pop signing Still Corners and Aussie twosome Civil Civic.

Album and live reviews include releases and show by…
