For the first time in its history, Spanish festival Primavera Sound will next year take place both in its hometown of Barcelona and in Porto.

The Barcelona leg of the festival (which is sponsored by San Miguel and is possibly the best festival in the world for alternative music) will take place in its usual spot, from May 30 – June 3rd. A fair chunk of the lineup will then play Optimus Primavera Sound in Porto from June 7 – 10, with some exclusive performances from bands not playing the Barcelona event.

Latest additions to the bill include The xx, Death Cab For Cutie and Spiritualized, who join the already announced Bjork and Jeff Mangum.
