He brought garage scuzz to the masses, went on to form The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, and has performed with countless others, but really for years we’ve been wondering what a Jack White solo album would sound like.

Today [30 January 2012] we got our first taste of it, ahead of White’s debut LP, ‘Blunderbuss’. That’s out April 23rd, via his own Third Man Label/XL Recordings. In the meantime, below is the record’s first single, ‘Love Interruption’.

Of ‘Blunderbuss’, White says:

“[It’s] an album I couldn’t have released until now. I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas.”
