London nu soul duo The One have made no bones about their influences, but their music has always been darker and more paranoid than their 80s funk heroes Alexander O’Neal and Jam & Lewis.

Their debut album – ‘Who Are You?’, due July 30th – will follow that suit, but before then they’ve recorded new EP ‘Off The Hook’ – a straight homage to Luther Vandorss and the like.
