Watch the video for ‘Best of Friends’ by Palma Violets – living proof that rock’n’roll isn’t dead, and needn’t be crushingly dull in 2012.

For a while now, South London band Palma Violets have been luring fans of Clash-like punk rock back to their art studio/squat, Studio 180, for wild parties.

They signed to Rough Trade in May, but have been left to their own devices, playing rather than distracting themselves with facebook, soundcloud and making a name for themselves on the web. Basically, if you’ve wanted to hear Palma Violets, you’ve had to travel south of the river and see it in person. Until now.

Below is the video to the band’s first single, ‘Best of Friends’, available now via iTunes and to be released physically on October 22nd. We love it.
