Watch an exclusive tour video from Flamingods on their recent trip around the UK.

The thing that really made us fall in love with afro-percussive collective Flamingods was a live show we hosted for them back in 2011 – that primal pounding; that freeing caterwaul; the shear joy of five Bahrain-schooled friends letting loose hitting things.

Earlier this year the band released debut album proper ‘Sun’ and embarked on a jolly around the country to spread the Eastern-infused love. This film was edited by the band’s own Charles Prest, who says: “It puts together footage from the whole tour experience, from getting the van stuck in snow to meeting an awesome reggae dancer in Brick Lane to jamming out on stage and just kicking it back after shows. Good vibes all round!”

It give some sense, at least, of the fun to be had with Flamingods. You should, of course, go see it in the flesh for yourself.
