Listen to ‘Sonsick’ a new track from Yale graduate San Fermin.

Everything we know about 23-year-old Brooklyn composer Ellis Ludwig-Leone points to him being something of a genius.

Writing songs under the name of San Fermin, Ludwig-Leone graduated from Yale with a degree in music composition. He’s recently completed a project for Berlin Chamber Orchestra Solisenensemble Kaleidoskop, with Sonic Youth‘s Lee Ranaldo, too, and he’s an assistant to Nico Muhly.

He’ll be releasing his own debut album on Downtown Records on 17 September 2013, with the help of vocalists Allen Tate, and Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe of NYC band Lucius.

‘Sonsick’ is the first track to come from the record, sounding like a wholly digestible Dirty Projectors. We love it.
