New documentary When Björk Met Attenborough to be broadcast this Saturday.

Björk has long been a fan of David Attenborough, but, then, hasn’t everyone? Turns out the feeling is mutual for the legendary naturalist and broadcaster, though, which has brought about a new documentary called When Björk Met Attenborough, which will be broadcast 7:00pm on Channel 4 this Saturday (27 July 2013).

In the film from Pulse films, Björk and Sir David chat music and nature, of course, while the singer goes on to explore our unique relationship with music and discovers how technology might transform the way we engage with it in the future.

At the heart of the film is Biophilia, Björk’s music project that explores where nature, music and technology meet. Attenborough explains how music exists in the natural world and speaks about his own passion for music.

Author and professor of neurology and psychiatry Oliver Sacks explains the extraordinary and beneficial effects music has on our brains and explains why performing and engaging with music is something all of us should take more seriously… if we don’t already, that is.
