Baltimore minimal punk duo announce new album

Ed Schrader’s Music Beat are a minimal punk duo from Baltimore made up of Ed Schrader and Devlin Rice, last seen in 2012 when their album ‘Jazz Mind’ combined ferocious, clunking punk with Future Of The Left aggression and Liars’ lust for experimentation.

It’s good to have them back, and this free download of ‘Pantomime Jack’ is the opening track from a new record called ‘Party Jail’ that they’ll release via Upset The Rhythm on 19 May 2014.

‘Party Jail’ features additional drums from Dan Deacon, Boredoms and Ponytail’s Jeremy Hyman. Ed Schrader’s Music Beat will tour extensively with Future Islands this summer.
