Zach Condon and band to warm up for Green Man

Beirut – the brassy band of Brooklyn based musicians formed around the once bedroom project of Zach Condon – have been pretty quiet since they released third album ‘The Rip Tide’ in 2011. They toured it a little the following year, old track ‘Nantes’ appeared on Snoop’s ‘No Guns Allowed’ and band member Perrin Cloutier scored a documentary about Mitt Romney (called Mitt), but not much else has been going on.

The fact that the group are playing Green Man this year, then, suggests a fourth album could be ready, and today Beirut have announced a one-off show at Manchester’s Albert Hall, on August 14th.

Tickets are on sale here, from 9am this Friday (May 16th).
