Listen to ‘Tennis Court’, the new single from Leeds band Menace Beach, which just so happens to arrive on the same day as the Wimbledon draw. Synergy!

Wimbledon’s probably going to be overlooked this year, isn’t it. I mean, who wants to watch a couple of people knocking a ball over a net when you can see 22 people kick a ball at a net three times a day?

Menace Beach (a rolling cast from Leeds that revolves around duel vocalists Ryan Needham and Liza Webster and includes MJ from Hookworms, Nestor Matthews of Sky Larkin, Robert Lee of Pulled Apart By Horses, Matt Spalding and, very occasionally, Paul Draper, ex-Mansun) haven’t forgotten about the tennis though, choosing to post new single ‘Tennis Court’ today (20 June 2014), on the day of the Wimbledon draw.

Released on Memphis Industries on September 1st, it’ll be shortly followed by the band’s debut album on the London based label.

Here it is, and it’s the group’s best track yet.
