Melt Yourself Down and Shabazz Palaces joined by special screenings at Illuminations 2014 as London festival teams up with Hackney Picturehouse and The Barbican

Rockfeedback‘s Illuminations returns this October for a third year, and will, for the first time, include some very special film events.

Spread over 9 days and 4 London venues, from October 27th, those contributing to the live bill include Shabazz Palaces, Sebastian Tellier and Melt Yourself Down, who’ll perform exclusively with no wave legend James Chance at Village Underground, while a new partnership with the Hackney Picturehouse will see screening shown of Fugazi documentary Instrument and Arthur Russell movie Wild Imagination.

Perhaps most special of all though will be Illuminations’ halloween special, to be held at The Barbican, where master of Italian horror soundtracks Fabio Frizzi will celebrate his special partnership with the late ‘Godfather of Gore’ director Lucio Fulci as he and the F2F Orchestra, The Alauda String Quartet and live vocalists will soundtrack live movies including Zombie Flesh Eaters (1979) and other blood-soaked epics such asSeven Notes In Black, The Beyond, City Of The Living Dead, Manhattan Baby and more. The Friday night event will be followed by a special late nightclub event, with live guests to be announced soon.
