London-based lo-fi band Mazes return with their third album, ‘Wooden Aquarium’, and preview new track ‘Salford’

London based trio Mazes will release their third album, ‘Wooden Aquarium’, on 8 September 2014 via Fat Cat.

It’s a record they recorded live, in just two weeks, snowed in in New York City and with the help of Parquet Courts’ producer Jonathan Schenke.

The vocals of Heather Strange features heavily on this one, and it’s a welcome addition to a DIY band who have genuinely refused to make the same record three times over.

Here’s ‘Salford’, a case in point, and one for fans of ‘Surfer Rosa’ era Pixies. Eslewh
