Premiere: Texans noir-funk trio Khruangbin share new video of an outlaw wreaking quiet havoc with a bullwhip

Ever since ‘Freak On A Leash’, slow motion has found a happy home in music video, occasionally to unparalleled effect. This new video from Texas trio Khruangbin is a case in point, and it’s a much classier and trick-free affair than Korn’s attempt was in 1998.

Directed by Jason Scott and Joris Philippart, ‘The Infamous Bill’ (an outlaw who’s handy with a whip) is the title track taken from the instrumental trio’s recently released EP of the same name. It’s the kind of music that Tarantino builds whole movies around, and the kind of noir-surf-funk that inspires a video like this.
