Featuring Karen O, Ariel Pink, Run The Jewels, Weyes Blood, Arthur Russell, Alan McGee, Crass’ Steve Ignorant and Virginia Wing

Despite many request, Karen O has largely dodged interviews and photo shoots following the release of her long-awaited debut solo album, ‘Crush Songs’. It makes us extra proud to have her on the cover our November issue (in stores November 8th), as we discussed all things love with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs front woman on her flying visit to the UK last month.

She’s joined by local, progressive indie band Virginia Wing, El-P’s and Killer Mike’s rap project Run The Jewels and NYC based pastoral psych musician Weyes Blood.

Ariel Pink responds to those misogyny claims from Grimes and does all the talking in our Tell Me About It feature, we travelled to Wales to visit Alan McGee at home for the final instalment of our Record Head series, and the two men closest to Arthur Russell remember a disco pioneer who bridged the gap between the avant-garde and the populist.

Crass’ Steve Ignorant answers our Getting To Know You questionnaire, and Peter Yeung spent a week listening to Justin Bieber.
