Katie Crutchfield returns with a new album in April. Here’s the first track to come from it

In 2013, Alabama-born Katie Crutchfield released her second album as Waxahatchee, entitled ‘Cerulean Sea’. A fine coming-of-age record, it saw Crutchfield influenced by The Breeders and 90s US indie as she convincingly sang of the loss of youth.

7 April 2015, Waxahatchee will follow up her surprise breakthrough album with ‘Ivy Tripp’, again through Wichita Records here in the UK, and via a new deal with Merge in the US.

The first track to come from the new record is ‘Air’.

Pre-orders of ‘Ivy Tripp’ on limited colour vinyl via Wichita’s online store receive an autographed posted, while supplies last.
