Listen to ‘The L-Shaped Man’ – the fifth album from (former?) punk band Ceremony

We interviewed Ross Farrar – frontman of Bay Area post-hardcore band Ceremony back in 2012 – as the group were about to release ‘Zoo’, their fourth album, and their first for Matador.

What we took from that conversation at the time was how he wasn’t interested in pleasing hardcore fans to spite himself, but we never expected Ceremony’s follow up, ‘The L-Shaped Man’ (in stores May 18th), to sound quite like is does.

Far from a hardcore punk record, we like it – this ‘break up record’. You can make up your own mind by giving it a listen below.
