Commission by the East End Film Festival, Blanck Mass (aka Fuck Buttons member Ben Power) has curated an alternative film score to The Strange Color of Your Body’s Tears.

The original version of the 2013 horror flick – a full-on homage to the Italian giallo films from Mario Bava and Dario Argento, directed by Bruno Foranzi and Helene Cattet – didn’t come with an original score, instead recycling music from existing giallo films. Ben Power has put that right, with the help of some friends – Stockholm’s Roll The Dice, London’s Helm, Moon Gangs, and Phil Julian, Glasgow’s Konx-Om-Pax, and New York’s C. Spencer Yeh – who were each given a different scene to work from, without any knowledge of what the other musicians were planning. They were all allowed to do what they wanted.

You can pre-order the album on i-Tunes now, and Death Waltz Originals are also going to release just 500 physical, vinyl copies of the album at a screening event on July 10, at 7:30pm. Held at London’s Red GalleryThe Strange Colour Of Your Body’s Tears will be screened with its new score, followed by DJ sets from Power and Death Waltz’s Spencer Hickman.
