Listen to the latest track from the Canadian artist’s forthcoming new album ‘Good Advice’.

It’s been more than a decent few years for Basia Bulat.

Her most recent album, 2013’s ‘Tall Tall Shadow’, bagged a nomination at Canada’s Polaris Music Prize. You might have seen her on the road, supporting Sufjan Stevens or Neko Case last year.

Right now, she’s got a new album ready to go. Recorded with Jim James at his La La Land studio in Louisville, ‘Good Advice’ is out on February 12. This song, ‘Fool’, is the next song set to appear on it.

Talking about the track, Basia says:

“I originally wrote this song to be a slow country-ish ballad on acoustic guitar, and on the record it feels like we dressed it up for a night at the disco! And it has a Fleetwood Mac kind of feel that I really love. I grew up playing piano as my first instrument so on this album it was really fun to return to it as my main instrument for the record, and on ‘Fool’ I managed to sneak in five different keyboard parts.”
