You don’t get this at a Catfish & The Bottlemen show.

Cate Le Bon shows have a reputation for coming with a twist. For this experiment, at Chats Palace, Hackney on Monday (14 March), she actually performed two sets. For the occasion Le Bon, who now lives in Los Angeles, enlisted a varied group of musicians including Stella Mozgawa from Warpaint, Stephen Black (Sweet Baboo), H.Hawkline and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who replaced John Frusciante in Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2009.

It kicked off with a more improvised set from the group – calling themselves BANANA. Later, Le Bon and her band now changed into the costumes you see below and performed a set of material from her new album, ‘Crab Days’, which comes out on 15 April. They were preceded on stage by a 15-minute art piece, a short film, featuring Le Bon.
