A dose of infectious, attitude-driven indie-pop.

It feels kind of apt to be debuting this first track from new band Yassassin given current circumstances.

Yassassin are a London band but their members are from all over the world – Italy, Sweden, Australia. Some of them you may recognise, having been part of bands like LUST, The History Of Apple Pie, Bonfire Nights and Loaded.

This first dose of music from the fivesome is a scratchy indie-pop gem. The video gives you a better insight into where they’re coming from though. The clip sees them mucking around in Soho, dancing in front of the Prince Charles Cinema and generally having a great time. We like the infectious attitude of it all.

Watch the video below. If you like the tune, Enate Records is putting out the track, and they’re also making it available as a free download, too.

At the moment they’re in the studio with Dave Allen (The Cure, Neneh Cherry, Depeche Mode), with a view to releasing an EP soon. Having played gigs with SULK, Hatcham Social and Flamingods, they’re playing a bunch of shows coming soon.
