The first proper track from the 21-year-old Londoner is great.

There’s not a great deal of info out there at the moment about 21-year-old London Nilüfer’s Yanya. There’s a couple of tracks on her old Bandcamp, a Pixies cover, a live session with NTS, but she’s just put out what’s being called her first track proper.

It’s called ‘Small Crimes’ and is so stripped back it sounds like King Krule and The xx at it’s fastest points. So it’s pretty louche and atmospheric, then, but also sounds very personal to the singer. It’ll be released on the Blue Flowers label. Here it is. We love it.
