The September 2016 edition of Loud And Quiet is out this weekend, feat. Show Me The Body, Regina Spektor, The Lemon Twigs, Angel Oslen, Sneaks, Pillow Person and Julia Jacklin.

Each summer we allow ourselves a two-week break over here, but that’s all over now. Back to it.

Loud And Quiet 79 will be in stores and online from this coming Saturday (August 20th), featuring New York hardcore band Show Me The Body on our cover, after we spent a weekend with them in the hometown that they love, but seems intent on destroying them.

Other new music from around the globe comes from D.C. (the playful DIY of Sneaks), Sydney, Australia (the quarter-life crisis of country singer Julia Jacklin) and Los Angeles (the return of both Angel Olsen and Regina Spektor).

Closer to home, Hot Chip drummer Sarah Jones (who’s also played in every band you’ve liked from the past 10 years) discusses how the hell she’s managed to find time for her new Pillow Person project, and on their first visit to London The Lemon Twigs are very silly indeed.

Extras this month include Jenny Hval‘s Getting To Know You questionnaire and comedian and musician Matt Berry as a 16-year-old Jean Michel Jarre nerd.
