Screaming Tea Party with Banjo Or Freakout and Graffiti Island Where: The Macbeth, Hoxton St
When: Saturday 22nd Nov
Price: £5 with flyer/advance, £6 on door
Doors: 8pm - 2am
It's that time of the month again when we not only promote our own club with shameless bias but make such a big deal about doing so that it hopefully seems alright. We call it the George Foreman effect.
Finished your tutting? Good, because this Saturday we've got the lo-fi surf of the lurking Graffiti Island opening Dirty Bingo Vs Loud And Quiet. They've just released a split cassette release with fellow noisy buggers Male Bonding and Pens. Grab a couple before Sat if you can.
The experimental soundscapes of our second on the bill, the solo efforts of Banjo Or Freakout, are also advisable to check out. They'll either sooth the preceding battering from GI or make you want to scoop your brain out as your ears are overloaded with tape loops.
And our headliner this month need no introduction. Screaming Tea Party's vile punk seems to be just getting better, as proved on their latest mini album, 'Golden Blue'.
