Concrete Igloo
words by Charlotte Rumsey
Canadian duo Dandi Wind undeniably divide with their ‘Concrete Igloo’ debut. It’s certainly exciting, tapping into a combination of new wave indie rave and 80’s electro dance with wretching vocals and explosive rhythms that pave the way for a new ‘Shoreditch favourite’ as we dance ourselves silly on strange sticky floors. But the repetition of the lyrics and bizarre song structures are something of a bind. These tunes will probably never grace our TVs and radio stations, not that Dandi Wind would ever want them to.

Let the face furniture of San Fran disco-er Mike Relm fool you. Forget that he’s named his second album after his eyewear.
Vivian Girls - Vivian Girls
One of Vivian Girls is called Kickball Katy. She plays bass even more nonchalantly than your average Valium-scoffing four-stringer.

Wetdog - Enterprise Reversal
Had ‘Enterprise Reversal’ been a five track EP of a release its toneless blahs from lead shouter Rivka Gillieron would have still been a struggle to sit through.
