Season Of Sweets
words by Matt Warwick
The press release for The Modey Lemon’s fourth album reads thus: “Coming back with a blast from a three-year hiatus from the pubic eye…” Wow, if that’s what we think it is, then that’s quite some abstinence. And it shows when the psychedelic trip of ‘Live Like Kids’ hits its 10th minute. If you’re looking to be able to last that long on your comeback, then give this record a try. But, apart from ‘Ice Fields’ and a couple of other tracks, most of this record leaves more of a salty taste than it does sweet.
