A Lifetime
words by Tony Fagg
Oh brilliant! ‘Say A Little Prayer’ is on this record. I love that song. Pulp Fiction wouldn’t have been half the film it is without Dusty’s classic. But hang on… this isn’t that ‘Say A Little Prayer.’ It is however a painful and soulless 3 minute, 38 seconds that isn’t quite good enough for a Shania Twain b-sides comp. Unfortunately, it’s pretty much as interesting as The Hush’s debut album, ‘A Lifetime’, gets.
Everything is there for Hush to move the world. They’re a mixed gender duo from Denmark Begging for that whole, ‘she’s sexy and he rocks’ thing, their press shots suggest more than a great future and above that, what a name. Hush! Looks good on a T Shirt doesn’t it? But forget all that. Poorly written and delivered country pop, whined in a drab and irritating manner makes it one to miss.

Let the face furniture of San Fran disco-er Mike Relm fool you. Forget that he’s named his second album after his eyewear.
Vivian Girls - Vivian Girls
One of Vivian Girls is called Kickball Katy. She plays bass even more nonchalantly than your average Valium-scoffing four-stringer.

They're saying that punk's dead, y'know? Spiritually, if not physically.
Wetdog - Enterprise Reversal
Had ‘Enterprise Reversal’ been a five track EP of a release its toneless blahs from lead shouter Rivka Gillieron would have still been a struggle to sit through.
