Cutting Pink With Knives to split

First Mummra, now Cutting Pink With Knives call it a day too.

London noise trio Cutting Pink With Knives are to call it a day within the next month, having released two full length albums within their 4 year existence. The band’s final UK gig will be on July 11th at Supersonic Festival.

“We are splitting up. No drama, no hatred between us, we're just calling this shit to an end,” said guitarist Eddy Frankel in a press release announcing the split, before going to thank the band’s fans for their support.

“Its hard to know how to say goodbye to something that’s been the most important thing in our lives for the past 3 or 4 years, nothing I say can really encapsulate what this has meant to us and how odd it will be to not have it around anymore. We've done a lot of things that we're all really proud of, played some amazing shows, released lots of records and generally had a great time, but its time that we go our cute little separate ways. Why are we breaking up?
Well, I started this band to get chicks, and to be totally honest, it hasnt worked.
Chris joined the band to fund his hair gel habit, and we've not made enough money. Alex joined the band to get a foothold on the international stock market, but we've got no shares.
It’s a sad sad state of affairs; a chick free, hair-product depleted and financially rocky state of affairs that we're waving goodbye to.
So wave farewell to the good ship Cutting Pink With Knives as it sinks into the void, I hope that our songs of space, top gun, architecture and hot babes have had a positive impact on your lives and that you remember how thin we all were when you see pictures of us looking fat in the future.
we really were very sexy. Thank you for your support and all that good jazz,
Eddy.”
