Neon Neon to play only UK headline show

Gruff and Boom appropriately play their only headline date in a Shoreditch car park.
Earlier this month we wriggled into our primary coloured slacks to head to a special Bugged Out presented, Late Of The Pier rave in east London. Obviously, it was a cosmic experience. And now, whether inspired but the Bugged Out bash or not, Neon Neon have announced that they will play their first and last headline show of the year in the very same temporary home for automobiles.
It’s all rather fitting that Gruff Rhys and Boom Bip bring their conceptual pop to Hearn Street car park. Their 2008 debut album, ‘Stainless Style’, is after all inspired by motors man John DeLorean – y’know, him name-checked in Back To The Future.
Support for the event, which happens on July 7th by the way, will come from hip hop super troupe Willie Isz (Jneiro Jarel, Dungeon Family, Goodie Mobb and Khujo) and italotronica heads Heartbreak. Then DJs including Casper C of Flurokids will be let loose on the…err…venue’s? desks.
