Club Of The Week - Dirty Bingo
John & Jehn and Pencil Toes play this month's DB, this Friday (Feb 15th) in Islington, London.Headliners John & Jehn - a French duo, very much besotted with each other - sound how love should on record. Not like Ronan Keating, all gushing and soppy, but cool, confident and comfortable. To find out just how well the band's Nico/Velvets art pop translates on the live stage head to Dirty Bingo at Clockwork this friday.
Pencil Toes join the continental couple on the bill, featuring the best live drummer you'll see since Matt Barrick's blurred arms at any given Walkmen show.
And bringing up the rear - long before the Dirty Bingo DJs spin new indie - are Orphans And Vandals, another duo, this time playing a hometown gig, and a set that will no doubt see saws turned into instruments like on their haunting 'Incognito'.
