Last week, London festival Field Day followed news of their expansion from a one day festival to a two day festival with an announcement that Pixies would close the event on Sunday 8 June 2013.
Today, Saturday’s headliner has been revealed, along with the first wave of bands that will perform on the Saturday.
It’s Metronomy who will close the main stage with the below list playing before them around the site as Victoria Park, Hackney, London.

As we announced last month, next year’s Field Day festival will, for the first time, span two days, over 7 – 8 June 2014.
Just one act has been announced this morning – Pixies will close the festival, headlining the Sunday night in London’s Victoria Park. It’ll be the first chance for UK fans to see the band perform new material following the departure of bassist Kim Deal.
