It’s been a couple of years of change for Glasgow outfit Babe.
Back in 2014, they released their debut album ‘Volery Flighty’ on Moshi Moshi.
Since then, in a bit of a line-up reshuffle, drummer John Baillie Jnr from Alarm Bells, Bossy Love and Dananananaykroyd has joined up with the group. He’s also produced their new material.
The new album is coming out in the spring but they’ve just shared this new track from it, ‘Bit Part’.
In this shadowy, electronic track, which features frontman Gerard Black’s haunting choirboy vocal hovering above a simmering backdrop that sounds almost Bristolian in its murkiness.
It’s been a long time coming, but you can now buy your pal/lover/offended party a subscription to Loud And Quiet, for any occasion or no occasion at all.
Gift them a month or a full year. And get yourself one too.
Whoever it’s for, subscriptions allow us to keep producing Loud And Quiet and supporting independent new artists, labels and journalism.
