The former Long Blondes singer discusses moving to Rome, quitting music to become an artist and how Nick Cave inspired her to finally make a solo album with Bernard Butler.
We took our Midnight Chats interview podcast on the road this week, travelling to Bury St Edmunds to meet former Long Blondes singer Kate Jackson in her hometown. She even provided the driving music – her forthcoming debut album, ‘British Road Movies’, is built for the M and A roads of the UK. America already has its share of traveling tunes; it’s about time we got some of our own.
We managed to cram a lot into this week’s interview, from Bury’s local music scene (which is thriving, it seems) to why Kate quit music and moved to Rome, only to return home and make this new album with Bernard Butler.
