End Of The Road festival 2017: Father John Misty, Mac DeMarco lead announcement

The dates you need for your diary are 31 August - 3 September

After hearing people bang on about how good End of the Road is, last year was our first time at the festival. And, well, they’re right. In 2016, they put together a line-up which featured headliners Joanna Newsom, The Shins, Bat For Lashes and Animal Collective, plus a bunch of other highlights which you can read about in our A-Z recap of the weekend (Savages, King Gizzard, Julia Jacklin, Lionlimb were particular standouts).

We were there – we hosted our podcast series Midnight Chats there live on stage, helped curate the Big Top on the Friday and hosted Bat for Lashes’ doomed wedding disco along with Natasha Khan after her headline set. We’ll be back this year.

They’ve just announced a whole raft of artists for their 2017 edition. It’s topped by headliners Father John Misty and Mac DeMarco. They’ve both got new albums coming out at the beginning of the summer.

Also on the extensive and excellent bill:

It’s happening between 31 August and 3 September 2017 at Larmer Tree Gardens.
