Primavera Sound announces Kendrick Lamar, Blur, St Vincent and many more for 2023

Plus JPEGMAFIA, Calvin Harris, Le Tigre, FKA Twigs, Kelela, Caroline Polachek

Primavera Sound have announced the first wave of acts for their Barcelona and Madrid festivals in 2023, and obviously it looks amazing. The headliners alone are outrageous, with Depeche Mode, Kendrick Lamar, Blur, Rosalía, Halsey, FKA Twigs, Skrillex, Calvin Harris, St Vincent, The Moldy Peaches and Le Tigre all topping the bill. Elsewhere, L&Q favourites like Jockstrap, Caroline Polachek, JPEGMAFIA, Julia Jacklin and Yves Tumor will be performing as part of a programme that includes everything from industrial thunder (Swans, Death Grips) to imperious hip-hop (Pusha T, Baby Keem), explosive jungle (Nia Archives), experimental pop (Kelela, Christine and the Queens) and so much more. Is if that weren’t enough, the festival’s free day, the preceding Wednesday, is headlined by the Pet Shop Boys.

It’s all happening 1st-3rd June in Barcelona’s Parc del Fòrum, with the sister event happening for the first time in Madrid the following weekend (8th-10th June) at the Ciudad del Rock in Arganda del Rey. Tickets are on sale at 12pm CEST this Thursday, 1st December, from the Primavera website.
