A weekly email bearing some much-needed positive news
We’re in a mess. First and foremost, love and solidarity to you all from us here at L&Q – stay safe out there, and look after each other.
Obviously, independent culture is taking a big hit at the moment, just like everything else. That’s why we’ve teamed up with some friends – The Line Of Best Fit, Green House Group, The Quietus, Parallel Lines, Domino, Rockfeedback, Bird On The Wire, London In Stereo, Rough Trade Records, So Young Magazine, Ninja Tune, Crack Magazine, Clash Magazine, End Of The Road Festival, Moshi Moshi, Matador, PRAH and 4AD – to start the Independent Music Dispatch.
It’s a simple enough idea: we all get together to share ideas, shout out people who’ve been doing great work, and generally try and act in solidarity with musicians, music fans and music industry workers alike, bringing you some much-needed positive news along the way. Each week, we’ll send out a bulletin that tells you about the coolest stuff that’s happening in independent culture right now, and invite you to get involved as much as you like. After all, we’re all in this because we love music – which is exactly why we need to pull together at the moment.
If that sounds good to you, sign up here, and the first edition will drop into your inboxes this Friday, 3rd April.
Subscribe to save Loud And Quiet
The COVID-19 crisis has really hit Loud And Quiet hard, cutting off our advertising revenue stream, which is how we’ve always funded what we do in order to keep the magazine free for our readers.
Now we must ask for your help to save us.
If you enjoy our articles, photography and podcasts, and if you can afford to, please consider subscribing to Loud And Quiet. With FREE delivery in the UK (international subscriptions also available), it works out to just £1 per week.
If we don’t receive enough subscribers, we’ll be closing down.
We’ll post you our next 6 issues, a handmade lockdown fanzine, access to our digital editions, an L&Q brass pin, playlists, a bookmark and some other extras.
