Vinyl shopping with Let’s Eat Grandma – Bands Buy Records Ep. 08

These two really make us smile

The beauty we’ve found so far with Bands Buy Records is that you get a clear insight into the everyday listening habits of a whole load of different artists. You’ve got Bobby Gillespie, encyclopaedic in his knowledge of rockabilly, through to Alex Cameron, who was just after some ’80s classics. It’s turns out a lot of Let’s Eat Grandma‘s most recent schooling had come through the CDs their tour manager Lee would stick on the car stereo as they criss-crossed motorways around mainland Europe.

We caught up Jenny Hollingworth and Rosa Walton as they shopped at Plato in Groningen during this year’s Eurosonic festival.

Their spaced-out humour is pretty infectious.
